Today’s the first day of the rest of my life, and I love starting my day with coffee.
From turkishcoffeeworld.com, I learned that the coffee plant, was discovered in Ethiopia in the 11th Century, 400 years before my historical novel series started. It has a white blossom that smells like jasmine and a red, cherry-like fruit.
Doesn’t that sound appropriate, for such a magical bean?
Back then, according to that website, leaves of the so-called “magical fruit” were boiled in water and the resulting concoction was thought to have medicinal properties.
Well, yeah! It starts my day! Coffee, and reading my emails. Add a granola bar and I’m successfully launched into a new day!
Wishing you a great new day! If you like novels, please check out my Coin Forest series, set in fifteenth century England. History, made passionate. Thanks!
