Crimson Secret wins international IPPY award!

Crimson Secret wins the international bronze IPPY award! The results just in this morning, and I’m celebrating with an extra scoop of hazlenut in my coffee!! Woot! Woot!

IPPY Awards identify the best books independently published in the U.S, Canada, Australia/New Zealand, and Europe.

I haven’t received the award yet, but it looks like the larger award to the right in the photo.

Thanks to my critique friends, my beta readers, editors, and my cover designer and dear daughter, Jalena Penaligon!

Happy National Coffee Day! Daily Rituals Rock!

Today’s the first day of the rest of my life, and I love starting my day with coffee.

From turkishcoffeeworld.com, I learned that the coffee plant, was coffee-ode-to-72-pix-copydiscovered in Ethiopia in the 11th Century, 400 years before my historical novel series started.  It has a white blossom that smells like jasmine and a red, cherry-like fruit.

Doesn’t that sound appropriate, for such a magical bean?

Back then, according to that website, leaves of the so-called “magical fruit” were boiled in water and the resulting concoction was thought to have medicinal properties.

Well, yeah! It starts my day! Coffee, and reading my emails. Add a granola bar and I’m successfully launched into a new day!

Wishing you a great new day! If you like novels, please check out my 3dcrimsonsecret200x236Coin Forest series, set in fifteenth century England. History, made passionate.  Thanks!
